1. Which of the following statements is NOT true? Race is a universal idea that has been around as long as human societies have. Race has often been used to justify social inequality as "natural" and therefore inevitable. There are no such things as human subspecies. Randomly chosen individuals from any given "racial" group are as likely to be genetically similar to randomly chosen individuals from other racial groups as to individuals from their own group.
