Think about an experience you have had when you were alone and made some misjudgments that could have led to disaster, but didn't. (it doesn't have to be in the outdoors.) what miscalculations did you make and how did you avoid disaster?

    I was in line waiting for a TA meeting in college, but the door was locked and I was too shy to knock. I thought I could be interrupting something important, then I realized I was important as well, so I dared to knock and take care of my business, I was able to avoid disaster by over-coming my shyness.
