Who discovered that the amount of conformity (decreased/increased) if the participants were allowed to submit their answers privately in writing instead of sharing them aloud with the group which showed that the participants did in fact know the correct answer?

    Explanation:

    Solomon Asch did an experiment to probe the range to which pressure from a majority group can affect an individual conform.

    He had the believe that the main issue with Sherif's experiment of conformity no correct answer was found of the ambiguous autokinetic experiment. He asked the question how could we be sure that a person conformed when there was no right answer.

    In 1951 Asch discovers a means what is was known as a classic experiment in social psychology, to a line judgment task. there will be an obvious or correct answer.
