Three primary functions of the skeletal system are the movement, protection of organs and the production of blood cells.

    Explanation:

The skeletal system promotes the movement of the body through the interconnection between bones. This interconnection is promoted through the work of tendons, ligaments and cartilage that allow one bone to move slightly over the other, without any friction allowing the body to move.

The skeletal system is also responsible for the production of blood cells, through the bone marrow. This is directly linked to the storage of mineral salts such as calcium, inside the bones.

Finally, the skeletal system is capable of promoting organ protection, acting as a box that prevents shocks and knocks on vital organs such as the brain, heart and lungs.
