The biomedical sciences used in crime scene analysis and determining the manner of death are blood splatter analysis, forensic DNA analysis, and a medical examiner/coroner. Blood splatter can tell where someone was hit, how hard, and how many times. DNA analysis can reveal who's blood and traces are left at the scene, even determining the victims blood from the killers, and the medical examiner can tell how a person died, when they died, and often find trace evidence on the body.
