The Apalachee tribe of Florida farmed beans, corn, and squash

    Explanation:

The Apalachee tribe was the original native American residents who resided in northwestern Florida. Extensive farming was done by them because the land they occupied was very fertile and adaptable for farming. They were also referred as the Farming Indians and had farmsteads.

Mostly, the Apalachee tribal women were involved in farming. They harvested crops like beans, corn, squash etc with which they prepared dishes like stew, cornbread, soups etc. they did extensive agriculture and grew surplus crops. Later by working the Spanish ranches, they learnt to grow other crops like wheat, peas, barley, fig, peaches, watermelon, etc
