The beginning of the 1970s was also the beginning of the war with drugs. Media showed people that drug users (from weed smokers to heroinists) are a dangerously growing problem in the world and they threaten safety of other people. One of the major causes of that medial war was that Du Pont's company invetned nylon which had a great competition in the fiber of cannabis plants. This propaganda spreaded around the world and we can see its consequences up to date.
