Every day for the last month Boris has recorded the number of times it rained and the height of all of his tomato plants. He wants to see if the two are correlated, so he creates a scatterplot of the data. He sees a pattern that he could probably draw a line through (from the bottom left going up to the top right) as rainy days and plant height both increase. What type of correlation is this?

    Positive correlation

    Explanation:

    Positive correlation -

It refers to the type of relation between two variables which are directly proportional to each other i. e., if one of the variable increases then the other variable too increases,

    and,

It one variable reduces, the other variable also decreases.

Hence, from the given scenario of the question,

The scenario shows positive correlation, as with the increase in the rainfall, the height of the tomato plants also increases.

    Therefore,

The correct answer is positive correlation.
