    Initially, the charge of the Arizona Commission Of Indian Affairs (ACOIA) was to study and compile information on the aspects of Native Americans and provide cooperation among the state and federal governments. Later on, in addition to that, the ACOIA was responsible to assist and support Indians and tribal councils in the state and worked also to enhance relationships between the State of Arizona and the tribal Entities.
