While henry was pledging a college fraternity he was subjected to a number of humiliating and dangerous activities. however, while sarah was pledging a college sorority, she was showered with affection and praise. based on what you know about cognitive dissonance, who is likely to develop more loyalty and devotion to his or her new group?

    cognitive dissonance happens when an individual two contradictory behaviors at the same time.

    when a person have to undergone something that he doesn't like in order to get something that he desire as a reward (such as being humiliated to be accepted into a group), that person would most likely to maintain onto the ward because he does not want to revert back to the negative experience again.
