    Vestigial traits are described as the element of our body that plays no immediate role or function to play. Darwin was the first one to realize that these traits are the proofs of the process of the evolution as vestigial traits once played a significant role in survival of the species but with time it's function has been reduced to almost 'no function'. However, it assists in associating two species and determine that one came or evolved from the another. Some examples of such traits could be 'wisdom teeth' in humans, or 'tiny wings of Kiwi' (as Kiwi is flightless bird which doesn't require wings), etc. which are certainly have no function to play in their respective bodies. Thus, the assertion is true.
