Yes, it totally justified.
Darwin's legacy took form in the view of survival of the fittest, which regarded as one of the most important ideas that mankind ever produced.
The survival of the fittest could be applicated in every aspect of our life, from mate selection, competition in our careers, Conflict resolution with another social group, etc.
