The Post-Conventional level means I would be following my own rules by my own ethical principals. It also means that I think that all rules aren't necessarily correct and maybe should not be followed without question. It's common that many theorists believe people in general may never reach this level. I agree with this overall assumption based on the interactions I have had with all age groups through life. Our current society has so much influence and unless you have a strong sense of self and moral compass it is easy to become affected by the group as opposed to the self. I personally feel like I am on the line close to crossing over to post-conventional reasoning. There are certain things that I care about being judged for so I conform. Then there are other things that I do not care about being judged for if I feel strongly about it, so I follow my own morals in those decisions.

For Kohlberg, the Post-Conventional individual is the one who follows their own rules by their own ethical principals. This individuals also think that not all rules must be followed without question. Some theorists think that many people may never reach this level and I agree. Society makes us be influenced by other's people's opinions, so it is very hard for an individual to not care about the public perception of themselves, I included.
