    These findings suggest that participants from western cultures are much more likely to attribute and explain their circumstances, behavior and outcomes based on internal factors (such as effort, ability, attitude, intention, etc.) rather than external factors outside their control (God's will, teachers, unfairness and bias of others, etc.) unlike participants from Asian cultures who generally attribute their circumstances to external factors.
