    Generally, the role of media in a democracy is to inform the people: both of the opinions and plans of the politicians and of the situation in the country so that they can decide whether the proposals of the politicians are corresponding to their wishes.

    Media can also present opinions of the people, and give an opportunity to share those opinions.
