Frederick Douglass viewed that the workers should have more rights and that their exploitation was a terrible form of governance.
Explanation:
Frederick Douglass had seen the institution of slavery birth the low wage labor who had to suffer a life of hardship too.
Thus Douglass was alive to the fact that the modern society was to be built on the backs of the workers like the previous one was built on the backs of the slaves of its time.
Thus, he viewed the at the rights of the slaves were paramount concerns of the people if there ever were to be equality in the country and only then can there be hope for a just society to exist.
