What significant contribution did the puritans make to future generations about relationship between church and state?

    Back then, the opinion from church ministers was held like some sort of divine statement that must be obeyed or the citizens will be punishable by law.

    The puritans resist this phenomenon and exposed the dark birocracy that exist within the government and the old church and proved that the Government basically force the citizens to obey a certain religion. This lead to massive nation protest and lead to the separation of church and states

    They spread word about the church’s greedy practices since the Puritans felt that the church was simply wrong with this kind of practice, but prosecution began from the Englanders. Protesting and going against the Church of England was thought to be wrong by the people. The King, being fully stressed, then in turn granted the wish of the Puritans to sail to America and practice their own religion.
