It is the Ad Hominem Abusive. Assaulting the individual making the contention, instead of the contention itself, when the assault on the individual is totally superfluous to the contention the individual is making. The contention assaults a position by engaging the awful qualities, moral turpitude, and general lowness and unpleasantness of a man who holds the position.
