In what way was the National Convention that took office in September 1792 more radical than the National Assembly of September 1791?

    The National Convention 1792 took place during the French Revolution. This convention played an important role during the time of the French Revolution. In National Convention, men of 25 years and above were allowed to vote regardless of their status in the society.

    The major role this convention played was the abolishment of the monarchy system. During the French Revolution, King Louis XVI was executed. With the execution of the king, the monarchy system was overthrown. The king was charged with treason, as he tried escaping the country at the time when his country needed him the most.
