    Explanation:

    Labor unions of South Carolina have pleaded so many demands. The issue of low wages, long hours of work, and other issues like Racial discrimination which hindered the whole growth structure of the laborers. After 22 days of severe strike, employers approved the demands to considerable effect.

    Employers enacted the company policies to increase the minimum wages from $13 to $30 per week. It largely had the effect of collective bargaining of various union members' concerns which increased the standard of living and also the purchasing power to avail basic needs.
