Similarities between religious festivals and dramas in Greece's golden age are as follows:

The classical age or the Greece's golden age from about 500 to 300 BC. This gave us wonderful monuments, philosophy, art, literature and architecture which are components of our civilization. Religion and drama went hand in hand in ancient Greece.

Before any drama was performed an invocation was made to Dionysius - the god of drama in a festival dedicated exclusively for drama. It was seen as a religious formality but later it began to undergo a lot of changes for the sake of entertainment. It was performed in an open space, usually in an open air theatre or in an amphitheatre.
