The greatest threat to the slave family' stability is that family members are separated from the rest.

    Explanation:

slave codes ensured strict restrictions on the conduct and terms of slavery both on slave owners and thee slaves. Most of the slaves were bought from Africa and they were made to toil hard in the tobacco plantations and coal mines. Slaves were sometimes not allowed to see their family members who live in the far off villages. This added to be a threat for the slaves either to run away from the slave owner or to defy the slave owners by neglecting to work and gave reasons inn the name of prolonged illness.

Slaves life was not as easy as how it could bee perceived. Many slaves carry a burning desire to extend their family by marrying a woman and enjoy the filial happiness. But the threat of getting separated always found to be a great threat to the slaves who marry with a trepidation that they would not be able to marry and be close to their family.
