This illustrates the concept of Gender Role. Also called Sexual Role, the concept alludes to the social and cultural perception about the appropriate thoughts or behaviors for men and women of a particular society, although sometimes there are some exceptions and other types of cultural norms are included as well. The characteristics tend to differ from one culture to another, for example, in the United States it is well seen that women do not work, in other cases, women must work in rural activities.
