    According to herzberg, the opposite of "satisfaction" is "no satisfaction", not "dissatisfaction,". Even though for most people this matter is simply a play on words, Herzberg argued that the distinction is necessary

    because Remedying the causes of dissatisfaction will not create satisfaction and for opposites,

    Reducing the cause of one end of the opposite would reduce the likelihood of the other end of the opposite from happening.
