It's the weekend and you're looking forward to relaxing for a few hours. Your teenage son is playing music loudly in the basement. Your teenage daughter is playing a noisy video game in the living room. You're having trouble relaxing due to all of the loud noises around the house. How would you respond to it.

If you are trying to relax just for a few hours, then it's a matter of talking with your children. Just keep something in mind "is not what you say is the way you say it". People normally lose the opportunity of having a good conversation and getting to an agreement because of the way the say things. When you enter your argument with "violence", prepotency and mandatory statements, then must probably you are going to end up fighting with the other person. You need to talk with your children, on a one to one conversation with each other and explain that you have been tired and would like to relax only for some hours and after that they could continue doing their own activities. With this argument your children will understand and sympathize with you and will let you sleep.
