A violin string has a length of 0.45 m it it turned to a frequency of 392 Hz. if the violinist wants to play a note with frequencyy of 440 hz where should she place her finger?

    Also,

    velocity, v = fλ

    thus,

    f₁λ₁ = f₂λ₂

    392 * 0.45 = 440 * λ₂

    or

    λ₂ = 0.40 m

    thus,

    The finger should be placed at (0.45 - 0.40) = 0.05 m from the top end
