    Representativeness Heuristic

    Explanation:

Representativeness, together with availability and effect, is one of the major general purpose heuristics.

It's used by looking at the extent to which A resembles B when we judge the probability that an object or event A belongs to class B.

When we do this, we ignore knowledge about the general likelihood of B (its base rate) occurring (Kahneman & Tversky, 1972).
