    According to the paper released by the New York Times, Lusitania was sunk by a submarine and estimated the casualty count to about 1,000. Almost 2,000 torpedoed off the Irish coat. It was also mentioned that the ship sunk only after 15 minutes. They also released names of important Americans on board and said that a grave crisis maybe at hand.
