Moises is about to turn one year old. He cries so hard when his mom and dad leave him with a babysitter. Sometimes he can't be consoled. Why does he cry when his parents leave? Moises thinks his mom will forget to come back. Moises doesn't realize his parents still exist and will come back. Moises hasn't developed object permanence and thinks his parents are gone forever. Choices B and C.

    Under a certain age, children have still developed the ability to comprehend that objects/people, still exist even though they are not in view. They do not understand the basic concept of time and hence cannot understand when their parent is not in view.

    With time babies develop object permanence and begin to understand time and people better.
