    The correct answer is Maryland. Catholics usually did not have a fun time in the colonies as they were run by Puritans and Protestants. This is why Maryland was created as a safe haven for Catholic people who wanted to escape religious prosecution. This was done way back in 1632 under the orders of King Charles I himself.
