Examples of competition from a natural ecosystem

The finches competing for food. On several islands they have different beaks and different diets. They adapted to survive. The general statement is that animals compete to get food. That is when extinction occurs when the animal can't compete with its traits and the animals keeps adapting to keep up with the environment.
