    Explanation:No other profession demands higher ethical standards than that of law enforcement because their profession requires utmost dedication to doing the right thing, as a single unprofessional officer's wrongful act can jeopardize the entire profession because people tend to generalize forgetting the good works that another officer might have done as good works rarely makes the good news and when it does, it doesn't even carry the same lasting memories as opposed to bad News;

    Besides these officers are made to take oath before assuming the office and these oats contains provisions about protecting, upholding and defending the Constitution of the Country or territories they operate. It also includes promises to conduct oneself soberly, honestly and honorably, to avoid offensive behavior, and to obey superior officers within the individual departments.

    Officers swear to be honest, upstanding citizens. They promise to be part of the solution, not part of the problem. Above all else, they promise to follow the rules, regardless of whether they like or agree with them.
