Define status quo. What does it mean to support the status quo? What does it mean to challenge the status quo?

    Answer: Status Quo is the current state of things. Status Quo refers to the existing state of affairs, regarding social or political issues. it generally applies to maintain or change existing social structure and values.

    Supporting the status quo means you are maintaining the current state of things. For example supporting the status quo of the United State political structure means you fully support the current political structure in the United State of America, you don't desire for it to change.

    Challenging the status quo means you are dissatisfied with the current state of things in the society. Challenging the status quo simply means that you intend to seek changes to the current social structure and values. For example if you are fighting against the corrupt politicians in a society which politicians are fantastically corrupt and it has become norms amongst them, then, it's simply means you are challenging the status quo of corruption.
