What type of investigation would a scientist studying this sinkhole use? What tools might be used to study it?

    Sink holes are formed when there is a collapse in the surface area below the ground. Geologists can use both invasive and non invasive techniques to study sinkholes, including digging, looking at historic maps or plans, taking aerial photographs, inspecting the site and scanning the ground.
