What does it mean for a research topic to be amenable to scientific study using a quantitative approach?

    It means that the factors that influence the result of that scientific study could be measured by a mathematical number.

    An example of non-quantitative approach:

    - The average feelings that children have after being told to sleep early.

    Example of quantitative approach:

    -How much time needed by children to enter the bedroom after being told to do so.
