    Explanation: Alfred Binet born July 8, 1857 was a psychologist who invented the first intelligent quotient (IQ) test.

    The test was invented by him to determine students who didn't learn effectively in the classroom so they could be given extra lessons. This work was done alongside Theodore Simon.

    This test was developed because the French hover at that time made education compulsory for all children. It was done to evaluate individual students needs in the classroom.
