Eugene Delacroix's Liberty Leading the People was inspired by Trois Glorieuses (Three Glorious Days) This is the Parisian uprising that took place on July 27, 28, and 29 of 1830. In this event, the liberal republicans were outraged by the violation of the Constitution resulting in an uprising that overthrew King Charles X.
