People and equipment would be crushed by Jupiter's enormous gravity if they tried to land on Jupiter. The couldn't land there in any case because Jupiter us a gas gisnt a nd not solid--it us akso extremely windy and stormy. In addition, the energy required to escape Jupiter's gravity would be excessive. Also, Jupiter is so distant that the time to get there would be ridiculously unreasonable.
