    Withdrawal symptoms.

    Explanation:

When people consume substances in a regular basis such like alcohol, drugs or coffee, the body gets used to this consumption.

When for some reason the person doesn't consume the substance after getting used to it, the body experiments withdrawal symptoms. These symptoms are the consequence of a physical and psychological process and they can include:

Having sleeping problems: insomnia, sleeping too much or feeling sleepy. Stomach problems Changes in mood Sweating profusely Headaches Nausea or vomiting.

In this example, Brendan and Beth are camping and they find out they didn't bring any coffee with them. They are regular consumers of coffee and they won't have it in the next few days. Then, they start feeling groggy, they experience headaches and feel sleepy and listless. We can see that they are not consuming coffee (which is the substance they usually consume) and we can see that they are experiencing physical symptoms as a result of this lack of consumption. Therefore, they are withdrawal symptoms.
