    Cognitive process is mental action (knowledge, attention, memory, judgment, evaluation, reasoning, problem solving, decision making, undestanding) through thought, experience and the senses.

    This well prepared athlete has problem with judgment and reasoning.

    They would support the cognitive model. This model holds that much of what causes a person to be "abnormal" is simply due to faulty thought patterns. These patterns can be rectified by working on and changing the lines of thought to those that are more "normative." The thoughts that are negative can be removed and replaced with those that are more positive.
