The Internet is an agent of socialization because it simply is a form of mass media. The question kind of answers itself. The Internet allows us to communicate with people we know, and people we don't know. It allows us to keep up to date with our society; whether that be including weather, crime, government politics, or even a new recipe. The Internet socializes us with each other because it is so complex and so easy to interact with. Even more so, 30 years ago, we were barely discovering how to understand a computer and now, we have a computer, a gaming device, and the whole Internet at our fingertips, and it's on a 6 inch screen that fits into our hand. It's that easy.
