The answer is b. reception level is high in interpersonal communication, whereas it is low in mass communication.

Interpersonal communication is a process of communication in which people exchange information, feelings, and meaning through verbal and nonverbal messages. It is face to face communication. The four components of the interpersonal communication process are sender, message, channel and receiver while mass communication is a process in which a person, group of people, or an organization sends a message through a channel of communication to a large group of people and organizations. Advertising, journalism, public relations, politics (such as campaigning) are all types of mass communication.
