If there are actually 38 people playing tennis at the same match the answer will be 6 doubles and 7 single games.

    Explanation:

A double match will involve 2 teams of two players meaning 4 players in total per match. 6 double games will need only 24 players. Multiply the quantity of players by the number of matches and we will have 24 players minus the total of 38 people playing we will have 14 players remaining.

A single match only needs 2 players one for each side or team. Saying this we can divide the numbers of players remaining with the number of players needed per match and the result is 7 single games.
