Do you feel the United States has become an oligarchy? Why, or why not?

It certainly has, since nowadays due the downside of capitalism, which has reached apex, the top 1% of the population holds more than 50% of the wealth and power, and the political campaign funding system has allowed that 1% buy the outcome of general elections, maintaining their positions as rulers permanently, and their political power is a direct consequence of their own wealth. Thus since power in USA rests on a small number of people, it turned into an Oligarchy.
