How does the hagfish protect itself when threatened

    It uses Slime

    Explanation:

    Whenever the hagfish sense the presence of predators, it will release Slimes and protective cocoons around it. When predators who about to kill it come in contact with the slime, The slime will start to clog the gills of the predators and can slowly make them suffocate.
