What is the percentage of parolees who do not successfully complete parole and are returned to prison?

    According to a 2005 Bureau of Justice study, it concluded that around 2/3 of prisoners who were released on parole from prison ended up being arrested again for a new crime within 3 years, and the numbers went up even more when looking at 5 years after release with 77% being arrested again.
