What are the similarities and dissimilarity between sociology and history

    Similarities:

    - They focused on Events involving humans.

    For example, Sociology tends to study how a society is formed based on the culture and tradition that people held. History tends to study What action a certain group took within a specific time period

    - They collected data based on the events in the past.

    They need this to understand why people behave the way we do in the current time

    - Both of them tend to be really subjective

    The conclusion that derived from this field may varied depending on the perspective of each social group

    Dissimilarities:

    - History is aimed to understand the objective truth of what happen, while sociology is aimed to understand the subjective way of thinking that influence human behavior.

    - History tend to focus on the events, while sociology tends to focus on the humans.

    Historians will focus their attention on timeline of events that leads to significant situation/action in history. Sociology tend to focus on the human behavior that cause that event

    - Sociology utilize statistics more than History does.

    The Conclusion that derived in the field of sociology tend to be taken from mass collection of data that taken from a large number of subjects. History on the other hand, only relies on primary sources such as documents or ancient arts
