    When we study our own culture more than other culture we are likely to develop ethnocentrism or a belief that our cultural values and norms are much better and superior than that of others.

    For us to be open and be able to acknowledge other people's culture we need to educate ourselves about their culture and learn how they do thing and why they do things the way they do, the more we understand their culture the lesser we are to prematurely judge their actions.

    The more we know people the more we are likely to accept them and make peace with who they are because we understand why they are that way.
