    Explanation: This theory is linked to the concept of homeostasis, which is the state in which our body strives for balance at all times, for example if you feel hot your body will work towards maintaining balance by indicating that you are thirsty which gives you a drive for you to go drink water

    A biological need is what drives us to search for the state of equilibrium, when you re cold the body tells you to keep warm

    So a person feels the drive to have more money or to have an increased salary and to reduce this drive they take a job with an increased salary, this drive will then be reduced. The state of balance is then maintain this way because the person will now start to feel a bit satisfied because their drive have been fulfilled.
