Reply to this discussion. Having an argument or conversation can go two ways depending on how someone perceives the situation. Last weekend my sister and I got into an argument because she wanted to take a shower while I was getting ready in the bathroom. My perception of the situation affected my sisters actions and communications negatively. She thought it was more important for her to shower than to let me finish getting ready. The reason I chose this situation is because everyone perceives things differently. My sister probably perceived this situation as

I was taking too long getting ready and that she had the right to shower. While my perception of the situation was that she was being rude and needed to wait.
